The Medium Roman Coin, made using 100% recycled solid 9ct yellow gold, is threaded onto an adjustable sailing rope. One of our most popular & easy to wear pieces, this sailing rope comes in three colours: black, pink or grey.
The roman coin is a symbol of honour & courage, qualities highly esteemed in Roman society. The Roman Empire believed in a number of personal virtues to which all citizens should aspire to achieve. This included truthfulness, respectability, dignity, mercy & humour.
Alternatively, the head depicted on the coin is that of an emperor wearing a wreath of laurel leaves. This is known as a laureate & is given to a person as an award for outstanding creative or intellectual achievement. The perfect gift to celebrate a promotion or for those graduating university!
